The show floor and conference rooms are buzzing with activity again today, at Tire Technology Expo – the industry’s essential annual event. A global community of scientists, engineers, academics and professionals have gathered to share knowledge, learn about the latest industry developments, see new products, and shape the future of tire manufacturing and design. Kordsa unveils advanced tire reinforcement technologies

Kordsa is showcasing its latest tire reinforcement solutions at the expo, emphasizing sustainability and innovation. The company has introduced REV Technologies, designed to meet the demands of EV tires with high-performance reinforcement solutions, along with rPET cord fabric and RFID tire tags. With a global production network, Kordsa continues to shape the future of mobility. “We are here to meet and promote our wide range of reinforcement products to our tire customers – from high-performance, sustainable, industrial and smart reinforcement solutions, this is the place to meet our partners within the tire industry,” said account manager Beyza Karataş.

HF presents industry-leading tire manufacturing solutions

HF is drawing crowds at the expo with its latest advances in tire production technology. The company is showcasing its industry-leading Curemaster PCR and TBR tire curing presses alongside its cutting-edge digital solution for condition monitoring. Visitors are also exploring HF’s revolutionary electric tire curing technology, available for new curing presses and retrofits. “HF is at Tire Technology Expo every year to showcase its latest solutions, connect with customers and the tire industry, and gain valuable industry insights,” said Nora Grupe, the company’s head of marketing.

Fischer TireTech shows visitors their commitment to efficiency and sustainability

At Fischer TireTech’s booth, visitors are enjoying a dynamic display of cutting-edge machinery that is transforming tire manufacturing. The company’s latest innovations in automated cord-cutting lines, high-end extrusion technologies and RFID lamination machines are front and center, showcasing Fischer’s commitment to efficiency and sustainability.

Uzer Makina showcases next-generation tire curing press

Uzer Makina is showcasing its latest electric tire curing press, designed for maximum energy efficiency, precision and sustainability. The company is also displaying its advanced tire molds, engineered for durability and high-quality production. “Tire Technology Expo provides the perfect platform to showcase our cutting-edge solutions, engage with industry professionals and explore the future of tire manufacturing,” said Mehmet Akın Kılıç, the company’s marketing and business development chief.

ARP Technologies presents innovative solutions for tire manufacturing

ARP Technologies is presenting its Electromagnetic Heating (EMH) System, which enhances electric curing technology and easily retrofits into existing molds. The company’s nitrogen circulation system improves efficiency, and the advanced PCI stack design prevents leakage, leading to superior tire quality. Visitors are also learning about the SA-S400 platen insulator for heavy loads and the company’s AI-powered inspection machine that delivers exceptional defect detection. “This is a great event,” said the company’s president, David Chen. “The whole industry gathers together here every year, and we look forward to meeting our customers, partners and peers.” Click here to learn more.

KraussMaffei shows how to boost tire component production efficiency

KraussMaffei is highlighting its advanced multiplex extrusion solutions, designed to boost ‘first time right’ production rates for tire components. Its unique head clamping concept prevents bleeding and blur even at 250 bar cavity pressure, enabling easy cleaning of individual flow channels. The company’s roller-head technology offers quick startup times with minimal losses, and the patented C-Check system ensures touchless, immediate conductivity checks for treads, reducing off-spec waste. “KraussMaffei is excited to exhibit at Tire Technology Expo every year,” said Patrick Michalke, head of sales tire and rubber. “The show is a must for tire technology suppliers like us. Exhibitor highlights

UP-Labels

In addition to their main job of sticking to tires, labels must meet durability standards and allow efficient manufacturing. TTI caught up with Gerald Ullrich, CEO of Austria-based UP-Labels, at Tire Technology Expo 2025 to find out how the company deals with the engineering challenges of this seemingly simple industry. Teijin Aramid

Speaking to TTI at Tire Technology Expo 2025, Tony Mathew from Netherlands-based Teijin Aramid explained how just one layer of the company’s Twaron para-aramid can reinforce a tire, meeting demands for a lighter tire with lower rolling resistance and emissions. The raw material used is sustainable, upping the green credentials for all concerned. Read more.

Conference highlights

The eagerly anticipated Analyzing and mitigating TRWP: implications of Euro 7 session began today, with Bridgestone, Continental, SRI, Michelin, the European Commission and Emissions Analytics all delivering illuminating presentations in the morning session, which was rounded off by a fascinating expert panel discussion. Learn more.

Kicking off the second day of the Modeling, simulation, testing and analysis session, Nexen Tire’s Jongchan Kim presented the company’s AI prediction technology for force and moment characteristics. He was followed by Flavio Farroni, who discussed advances in physical modeling applied to tire and vehicle simulations.

Today’s Sustainability and the circular economy in the tire industry session began with a Weibold Consulting presentation about recovered carbon black, in which Yogesh Gaikwad gave an update on key projects, volumes and timelines, along with an overview of rCB manufacturers’ progress and success in supplying rCB to the tire industry. Yogesh also discussed barriers of entry for tire makers and rCB manufacturers.

Still to come today

The Analyzing and mitigating TRWP: implications of Euro 7 session will continue in the Five Continents conference room this afternoon. Pirelli will begin proceedings at 14:00 with a presentation on the company’s tire wear and TRWP experimental techniques. There will also be papers from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, TWMS Consulting, DLR, Loughborough University and Technical University Ilmenau, among others.

Dr Sarat Ghosh, CTO and vice president of R&D at Himadri Speciality Chemical/Birla Tyres will deliver his presentation on passenger EV tire performance optimization at 14:50 during the Developments and innovations in materials and related processes conference session.

The Innovations and best practices for advanced manufacturing and inspection Day 2 session will take place on the New York 1 stage from 15:45 – 17:25, with Mesnac, Siemens Industry, UTH and HF Group all giving presentations that you won’t want to miss.
