By increasing its proportion of locally produced tires and cutting sales lead times, the company aims to expand its overall tire sales in North America.

The dissolution of the company’s long-standing global alliance with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, in October 2015, has given SRI a much greater degree of freedom to conduct its business in the region.

The company has already begun the partial transfer of tire production for the North American market from Thailand to its factory in the USA. There are plans to continue moving forward with expansion of local production for local consumption in order to enhance the company’s ability to supply high-performance SUV tires, environmentally friendly fuel-efficient tires and other high-value-added tires to customers in North America.
