Alliance Tire Group introduces latest radial crop rubber

Alliance Tire Group has developed two new tires for cultivation, spraying and harvesting operations on sensitive soils with produce such as flowers and flower bulbs.

The IF (improved flexion) and VF (very improved flexion) low pressure Alliance 354 Agriflex and Agriflex+ narrow radials are said to feature high sidewall flexibility. This enables them to carry either the same loads as a standard radial tractor tire, but at lower pressures, or carry up to 20% (IF) and 40% (VF) heavier loads at the same pressure.

These will be sold under the Alliance 350 line of radial tires for all types of cultivation, harvesting and spraying jobs. The tires are characterized by their round shoulders for soil and crop protection, and are equipped with a tough casing and rigid belt.

Explained Angelo Noronha, chief sales and marketing, aftermarket, Europe, “These tires offer superior protection for the plants because the shoulders are rounded, while the radial construction enables for a longer footprint and thus low ground pressure.”
