TRM launches new line of automated retreading equipment

Italian manufacturer TRM (Tyre Retreading Machinery) has launched Latitude, a line of automated retreading equipment, onto the US market.

The new range was demonstrated at Shamrock Marketing in Louisville, Kentucky, from March 20-23. The piece of equipment most popular with visitors was the robotic buffer, a new machine designed to increase productivity – while the robotic arm buffs the tire on the first chuck, the operator can work on the second one loading and unloading tires, measuring parameters and setting up the machinery for the next tire to buff. In other words, one operator, twice the production.

A new pressure tester and a tread builder were also on display, demonstrating the robustness, practice and low cycle time TRM’s products are known for. The equipment will remain on show at Shamrock Marketing throughout April.
