Goodyear has unveiled its latest evolution of the Goodyear CheckPoint drive-over tire inspection solution, introducing new features and an updated technology for tread depth reading. The upgraded solution is designed to support transportation operators and service partners in expanding their operations and improving efficiency.
At IAA Transportation 2024, Goodyear revealed improvements such as a modular tread depth sensor and advanced optical technology for increased robustness, precision and serviceability. Building on these advancements, the latest updates are designed to further support proactive and preventive maintenance, promote service opportunities and enhance workshop efficiency.
Live Display
The Live Display feature in the Goodyear FleetHub Web Application enables real-time tire measurement data to be shown on any connected external screen. Technicians can quickly identify necessary actions, while dealers can use the display to engage potential customers. Results can also be accessed on a mobile device by scanning a QR code, making it ideal for quick insights at service bays or customer counters.
Unregistered vehicle detection
Goodyear CheckPoint enables users to monitor the tire condition of vehicles not yet registered in the Goodyear FleetHub application or outside the customer’s network. This new capability opens up opportunities for dealers, service providers and transportation operators to engage passing traffic, promote their services and demonstrate the system’s value to potential customers, extending CheckPoint’s role beyond routine fleet monitoring.
Fleet overview report
A fleet-level report provides users with a detailed overview of tire conditions, per vehicle, axle and wheel position. Thorough tire monitoring insights assist customers in making data-driven decisions, developing their own KPIs and implementing more structured planning to support efficient operations.
Integrated tools for a connected fleet operations
Goodyear CheckPoint is fully integrated with the Goodyear FleetHub, DriverHub and FleetOnlineSolutions applications.
“With this enhanced version, which combines important hardware and software implementations, we are building on a concept we introduced last year — broadening the application of Goodyear CheckPoint beyond fleets, we are extending the application opportunities” said Patricia Azzoni, product manager at Goodyear.
“Dealers and service providers now have even more tools to enhance their daily operations and use instant data as a way to differentiate their service and attract new customers.”
