Apollo says its new Apterra HT5 is a premium highway terrain tire designed specifically for the core SUV segment, to deliver strong grip, long life, comfort and durability.
Designed and developed at Apollo Tyres‘ Global R&D Centre in Chennai, the Apterra HT5 will be manufactured at the company’s Andhra Pradesh and Chennai facilities.
Rajesh Dahiya, vice president, commercial (India, SAARC and Southeast Asia) at Apollo Tyres, said, “Apterra HT5 represents our deep understanding of how India’s SUV market is evolving. Today’s SUV owners expect a product that can keep up with demanding usage while also delivering on performance and comfort. The armor technology and a hybrid fill compound reportedly offer cut resistance, improved mileage and extended tread life, and a dynamic pattern design adapts to varying road conditions. The company says that the tread sipes balance block stiffness to effectively absorb road harshness, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable driving experience.
