Davanti Tyres has extended its partnership with the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) Racing School in Portimão, Portugal. The AIA recently announced it will host Formula 1 in the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
The renewed three-year agreement commenced on January 1, 2026, giving the tire manufacturer access to AIA’s fleet of racing school cars – to which Davanti’s Protoura Sport tires are fitted – and its instructors.
Davanti’s partnership with AIA was first established in 2017. The circuit, one of the most technically demanding in the world and host to the European Le Mans Series and FIM World Superbike Championship, will provide Davanti with regular professional feedback on its Protoura Sport tire.
AIA Racing School director Miguel Praia said, “Our drivers are highly qualified professionals and they understand the importance of tires as a safety feature. They have developed complete confidence in Davanti since we began this partnership, as tires that handle well and provide all the feedback and control you need to drive safely and well. We are proud to partner with Davanti Tyres.”
Sean Maddocks, Davanti Tyres sales director for the UK & Ireland, added, “The AIA is one of our longest-running partnerships, and over the years it has given us invaluable live feedback on our products, which has undoubtedly contributed to the quality and the capability of the Protoura Sport tire today.
“It has also allowed us to demonstrate the tire to our valued customers in an exciting, premium track experience, which has helped strengthen relationships and cement the product as a competitive player in the market.” Maddocks continued, “With the circuit also announcing its partnership with Formula 1 in the 2027 and 2028 seasons, it shows that as a racing venue, it really is one of the most renowned in the world.”
