Prof. Dr Holweg appointed new COO at VMI Group

Prof. Dr Edward Holweg has been appointed the new chief operating officer of VMI Group, succeeding Guido Roncken who held this position for more than 10 years.

As COO, Holweg will be a member of the global executive board of VMI Group and will be responsible for VMI operations globally.

After obtaining his PhD in electrical engineering at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, Holweg held several senior positions in the industrial sector as well as being part-time professor of Intelligent Automotive Systems at Delft university.

Holweg will build on the legacy of Roncken, who for the last 10 years has been the major driver in facilitating the growth of the company by optimizing VMI’s global manufacturing processes. Holweg will be part of the close-knit team responsible for the growth of VMI.
