Magna Tyres Group has named Elie Sleiman as the new general manager of its Singapore office, effective as of March 1. Sleiman will lead sales within the Oceania and Southeast Asia region and has responsibility for extending the Magna brand presence and distribution network.

In recent years, the Magna brand has conquered a significant market share in the region, but due to the forecasted market potential and huge demand for the brand, the tire manufacturer has set a goal to expand its customer base even more and enhance its strategic, long-term relationships within this high potential region.

Specifically, Sleiman has been tasked with improving product-servicing capacity, streamlining communications, providing clients with more personalized attention and local support on a daily basis.

He has held a number of managerial positions at a premium major brand in many markets. He has 19 years of experience in the tire industry, including strategy, business analysis, project management and operational roles, all with increasing responsibility.

He commented, “I am very delighted to have been appointed to this role at such a challenging time for the company. I am looking forward to working closely with the Magna team to achieve our growth ambitions and sales objectives – to expand the presence of Magna’s tires.”
