Yokohama Europe has announced the appointment of Giuseppe La Iacona, who joined the company on September 15, taking on key leadership responsibilities aimed at supporting the continued growth and consolidation of Yokohama across the European market.
With more than 20 years of experience in the tire industry, La Iacona has held senior roles spanning sales, marketing, business development, country management and international customer management across European markets. His experience will support Yokohama Europe’s organizational development and expansion of business opportunities across the region.
Reporting directly to Takashi Maki, CEO of Yokohama Europe, La Iacona has been appointed to several key positions within the European organization. He assumes the role of general manager for South Europe, leading the newly established South Europe Cluster with the objective of strengthening coordination and synergies between Yokohama’s operations in Italy and France. He also takes on the role of CEO of Yokohama Italia, with overall responsibility for the Italian subsidiary.
In addition, La Iacona has been appointed head of international customers. In this capacity, he will coordinate and support Yokohama’s European subsidiaries in the management and development of international customers operating across multiple markets, fostering a more consistent commercial approach and enhancing collaboration across countries.
His role will support Yokohama Europe in creating greater alignment across its organization, fostering closer cooperation between markets and customers, and contributing to the continued development of the business across Europe.
“I am very pleased to welcome Giuseppe to Yokohama Europe at an important stage in our development,” said Maki. “His extensive international experience, deep knowledge of the tire industry and ability to work across different markets will be valuable assets as we continue to strengthen our European organization and pursue sustainable growth.”
La Iacona added, “I am excited to join Yokohama Europe and to contribute to the company’s next phase of growth in Europe.
