SHOW NEWS: Bosch Rexroth debuts hydraulic reversing unit

LinkedIn +

With an eye on improving the safety of roll mills processing rubber compounds, Bosch Rexroth has introduced a hydraulic reversing unit that can be retrofitted to existing mills. This turnkey package automatically puts the roll mill into reverse after an emergency stop and supports intentional reversing in jog mode.

The unit is supplied with a set of mounting rails for flexible installation and a full set of documentation. The company adds that retrofitting the safety package does not constitute a material alteration to the machinery and therefore does not require the entire roll mill to go through the CE certification process again.

“With this safety package, we are offering a very efficient solution to the heightened safety requirements in the rubber manufacturing industry,” said Håkan Angerbjörn, industry sector manager for rubber processing at Bosch Rexroth. “Roll mills can be quickly retrofitted with this solution and customers may choose to upgrade other functions at the same time.”
