Titan has launched an advanced smart tire sensor technology, Titan Pressure Perfect (P2), developed in collaboration with Cerebrum Sensor Technologies.
Titan Pressure Perfect marks a major advancement in agricultural tire technology. The system provides real-time monitoring of tire pressure, temperature and load, and integrates with onboard inflation control to adjust pressure automatically while in motion. By adapting to road-to-field transitions and changing load conditions, the technology can reduce air pressure by up to 50%, decrease soil compaction by up to 35%, and potentially increase corn yields by 4–6%.
The system is designed to work with every Titan and Goodyear Farm Tire-branded product and nearly all inflation management systems, aiding machine productivity and tire longevity and supporting sustainable farming practices by minimizing ground disturbance.
This new technology is the first in a new smart tire technology category that the companies have named Intelligent Tire Solutions (iTS). Scott Sloan, global agriculture and LSW product manager for Titan, said, “This is the first system of its kind that delivers dynamic inflation management. Load, tire pressure and temperature data are gathered by a single tire-mounted sensor and integrated with tire-industry load-inflation tables in real time. Imagine bringing together central tire inflation system (CTIS) and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) technologies, and now they can work together and talk to each other – all without operator intervention.”
