Tire reinforcement expert Kordsa teams up with Sabancı University

Kordsa and Sabancı University have established the Composite Technologies Center of Excellence. This technology hub brings together expertise in the area of composites for R&D, innovation and production – all under one roof.

Furthermore, the Directional Composites Through Manufacturing Innovation (DiCoMi) project, in which Composite Technologies Center of Excellence is involved, has been granted €3m (US$3.47m) of funding from the European Union.

Under the two-year project, the two will carry out development of systems, software and materials to produce composite materials with 3D printing technology. In total 16 partners from 11 countries will participate in the project under the Horizon 2020 program.
