Dunlop has announced it will be the exclusive tire supplier to Campionato Italiano Velocità’s (CIV) Superbike category for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

The tire maker will supply slick racing tires from its KR range in two front specifications and three rear specifications. The KR109 front tires will be supplied in a 125/80R17 and the rear KR108 in a 200/70R17. The tires are closely related to those used in the FIM Endurance World Championship.

Dunlop will now be the sole tire supplier to three of CIV’s five categories, with the company already a partner for the Italian platform’s Moto3 and Pre-Moto3 classes.

“Among the most important innovations for the new season is the presence of Dunlop as the sole supplier for the Superbike category,” explained Simone Folgori, responsible for the Federazione Motociclistica Italiana’s Velocità competitions. “The class is of an increasingly high standard, with major manufacturers and talented and experienced international riders. We are happy to see Dunlop strengthening its commitment to CIV, as the company will now supply tires to Pre-Moto3, Moto3 and Superbike. Together, this partnership will only help the championship to grow.”

“Dunlop and CIV represent a winning combination of competitiveness and extreme performance,” commented Aldo Ciccone, racing manager, Dunlop Italy. “We are proud to expand our partnership with the FMI as the sole supplier for the Superbike category, the flagship of CIV. For us, this partnership represents a stamp of approval for our products and a further incentive to provide better and better tires to riders.”
