Bridgestone has added the Duravis Winter Drive to its winter truck tire range. Designed for mild European winter conditions, the tire is intended to offer improved mileage, fuel efficiency and winter traction, supporting fleet operations and reducing maintenance-related downtime and costs.
It is designed to deliver 15% higher mileage than its predecessor, the RW-Drive 001, along with a 3% reduction in rolling resistance. These improvements are intended to help reduce fuel consumption and associated carbon emissions for fleet operators. The tire is also engineered to maintain snow traction throughout its service life, supporting consistent performance in winter conditions and potentially reducing the risk of downtime.
“Now more than ever, European fleets need both predictable, reliable performance and solutions that can help reduce operational costs,” said Waqqas Ahmad, VP commercial at Bridgestone EMEA. “That’s why we’ve engineered a tire that consistently and efficiently performs from the very first kilometer to the last. The Duravis Winter Drive is built to keep vehicles running and help fleets stay on the move with confidence.”
New pattern design and Enliten technology
The tire features a new tread pattern, a tailored compound and Bridgestone’s Enliten technology. Enliten is a set of design and material technologies intended to optimize tire performance while supporting improved sustainability and compatibility with future mobility requirements across Bridgestone’s EMEA tire range.
The Duravis Winter Drive is designed with updated tread features, including revised sipe geometry, to maintain traction over its service life. It also incorporates a larger contact area, increased tread depth and variable groove angles to improve wear performance and extend mileage. In addition, a tailored compound and interlocking center rib design are used to reduce rolling resistance and support improved fuel efficiency.
The tire is designed to support regrooving and multiple retreading, as well as year-round use, to extend service life and reduce operating costs and material waste for fleet operators. It also includes integrated RFID technology to enable digital tracking and management.
The Bridgestone Duravis Winter Drive will be available from May 2026 in size 315/80 R22.5. Additional sizes will be rolled out in August 2026.
