Marangoni develops bespoke rubber for Italian company Recicla

Marangoni has designed bespoke tires for waste management company Recicla. The tire maker developed a special cut-and-tear-resistant compound and a specific tread pattern for retread tires, to be equipped on wheel loaders used in materials handling at the Italian company’s facility.

The wheels of these vehicles operate in very harsh conditions including slippery surfaces, high temperatures (about 70°C), under heavy loads, and need efficient engines to cover distances as quickly as possible. Vehicle downtime due to a damaged tire can be costly.

The tires have greatly increased Recicla’s productivity, with reduced management time and costs. Marangoni retreaded tires with the specially developed MRT and MLD tread patterns have even proven to ensure better performance than new premium tires mounted as original equipment.
