Linglong Tire has introduced the 59/80 R63 LXD Master Pro OTS tire which, it states, is the largest off-the-road tire in the world.
Built in Changchun, China, the 63in tire has a diameter of 4m and a weight of over six tons. It has a load capacity of 100 tons and is mainly used on large off-highway dump trucks such as the Caterpillar 797 or the Komatsu 980 in mining areas, both in open-cast mines and mines, mainly in Australia, South America and Africa.
With nearly 40 years of experience in OTR tires, Linglong has steadily expanded its mechanical, agricultural and industrial tire lines since producing the first cross-ply agricultural tire in 1987. This extensive technical expertise has informed the research and development of the 59/80 R63 LXD Master Pro, helping the company address challenges in structural design, materials and production.
