Kuraray Europe realigns distribution channels for elastomers

Japanese specialty chemical company Kuraray has taken over the sales of its established elastomer brands Septom, Hybrar, Kurarity and LIR/LBR, which were previously handled by Marubeni in Europe. The distribution agreement between the elastomer business unit of Kuraray Europe, Hattersheim and Marubeni Europe, Dusseldorf, was terminated on June 30.

“We firmly believe that the realignment of our European distribution channels represents a great opportunity for further growth together with our customers,” commented Jörg Oertel, director of elastomer business, Kuraray Europe.

“With our high-performance elastomers we are extremely successful in markets with high potential, but also with increasingly complex applications and higher requirements regarding competent support. Our goal for each application therefore is to supply not only a perfectly matched product, but also tailored technical support and service.”
