Cabot Corporation hikes up prices of carbon black in EMEA

LinkedIn +

Cabot Corporation is increasing prices on all carbon black products in its reinforcement materials portfolio sold in the EMEA region. The increases will take effect for all shipments made as of June 12, or as customer contracts permit.

As the carbon black industry continues to evolve, Cabot is experiencing significant cost pressures due to high utilization rates, increased requirements to meet new regulations and sourcing challenges for feedstock that is specifically selected for the production of carbon black in the EMEA region.

Despite ongoing efforts to offset these costs, price adjustments will be implemented in the range of €50 to €80/MT (US$55.5 to US$88.9/MT), in addition to any applicable feedstock index-related adjustments, for rubber carbon black products.
