Yokohama to add off-highway production at India factory

Yokohama Rubber plans to build new facilities at the Dahej, India, plant of ATC Tires, a subsidiary of Alliance Tire Group, which was acquired by Yokohama Rubber in July 2016.

Total investment planned is US$45.5m (about ¥5.1bn at a forex rate of ¥113/$). Annual manufacturing capacity will be boosted from the current 57,000 tons to 91,700 tons by the end of 2019.

In addition to the Dahej factory, ATC Tires also has a plant in Tirunelveli in the state of Tamil Nadu.
