Three new production assembly halls have been opened at VMI’s manufacturing facility in Leszno, Poland, bringing the total amount of available floor space for the manufacturing of machinery to approximately 30,000m2 .

Although the new manufacturing halls in Leszno are not dedicated solely to the production of tire machines, VMI will use much of this expansion for the manufacturing of tire machinery.

The expansion of the site comes after many years of high growth within VMI’s tire and pharmaceutical industries, and the additional production halls will be used to augment the global manufacturing footprint which includes facilities in the Netherlands and China.

The new buildings have been designed to reach the environmental sustainability goals by using advanced LED lighting and solar power.

“This expansion is the next important step for VMI,” said Harm Voortman, CEO, VMI Group. “By significantly increasing capacity in Poland, we enhance our ability to meet the needs of our customers and strengthen our global competitiveness.”
