TRM develops robotized retread production cell

LinkedIn +

Tire retread expert TRM (Tire Retreading Machinery) has completed a design-review of its new, premium retreading system in the USA and delivered the last robotized module in the production cell, three months after the supply of the first module.

The modules have been designed to fully automate the production process for premium retreading material up to 500mm of the tread width. Two robots perform all steps of the process, ensuring consistency in production, removing manual activities and changing the operator’s role to a supervisory position.

The cell will be operational from the second half of 2019, covering the additional demand in the North American market for such products.
