TyreSafe has announced that Dunlop and Falken have joined the charity as official supporters, reinforcing their commitment to improving road safety and helping reduce tire-related incidents across the UK.
The move sees the addition of two globally recognized brands to TyreSafe, and represents a significant milestone for the charity, further strengthening its ability to engage motorists, influence policy discussions and deliver effective road safety campaigns at a time when tire safety has never been more important.
Strengthening representation across the tire industry
Dunlop and Falken hold a significant share of the UK and European tire market, with an established presence across the premium, performance, SUV, passenger car and light commercial vehicle sectors.
Their addition broadens the range of manufacturers supporting TyreSafe’s mission, meaning more motorists will have access to consistent, evidence-based tire safety messaging from well-known brands.
The partnership also reflects growing recognition across the tire industry that road safety challenges are best addressed through collaboration, shared expertise and collective action, as the UK begins implementing its first national Road Safety Strategy in 15 years, bringing manufacturers together under a common purpose supports that effort.
What this means for road users
TyreSafe helps road users understand the importance of maintaining their tires correctly, checking pressures regularly, monitoring tread depth and identifying dangerous defects before they lead to incidents on the road.
By combining TyreSafe’s expertise with the technical knowledge, research capabilities and consumer reach of Dunlop and Falken, the partnership creates new opportunities to educate motorists, support behavioral change and encourage proactive vehicle maintenance.
The collaboration is also expected to support future research and data-sharing initiatives, helping strengthen the evidence base behind tire safety campaigns and providing further insight into emerging road safety challenges.
TyreSafe chair Stuart Lovatt said, “We are absolutely delighted to welcome both Dunlop and Falken to TyreSafe. Their decision to join TyreSafe demonstrates a clear commitment to road safety. This is significant not only for TyreSafe, but for road users. The more leading manufacturers we can bring together around a shared vision for safer roads, the greater our ability to influence behavior, share expertise, generate evidence and deliver life-saving safety messages.
“The publication of the government’s new national Road Safety Strategy has created a renewed focus on casualty reduction across the UK. Achieving those ambitious goals will require genuine collaboration between industry, government, enforcement and road safety organizations, and we are excited to have Dunlop and Falken joining us on that journey.”
Markus Bögner, president and managing director, Dunlop Tyre Europe and Falken Tyres Europe, said “We are delighted to join TyreSafe and become part of an organization that has played such an important role in improving tire safety awareness across the UK for more than two decades.
“TyreSafe has built a strong reputation for bringing together industry, enforcement, government and road safety partners to drive meaningful change, and we are proud to be joining that community. We believe that by working collaboratively and sharing expertise, we can help raise awareness of the vital role tires play in keeping people safe on the roads.”
TyreSafe will work closely with Dunlop and Falken to identify opportunities for collaboration across research, education, awareness campaigns and industry engagement activities.
