Cabot Corporation increases prices of its carbon black worldwide

LinkedIn +

Cabot Corporation will increase prices by up to 6% globally for specialty carbon products, effective August 1 or as contracts allow. These adjustments will be implemented independent of raw material adjustments.

The price increase is required due to escalating operating costs, and due to the environmental compliance costs that are associated with Cabot’s continued investment in the necessary technology controls to comply with the enhanced environmental regulations at its specialty carbon manufacturing facilities.

The increase is necessary to ensure Cabot remains a reliable, long-term supplier of high quality products and services, and ensures continued investment in new products and applications development to support customers.
