Salvatore Pinizzotto appointed as secretary general at the IRSG

The International Rubber Study Group has appointed Salvatore Pinizzotto as secretary general, as of January 2017. He will replace Dr Stephen Evans.

Pinizzotto has vast experience in the commodities market having worked for three decades in the metals and non-ferrous metals industry. His career has a strong international dimension with expertise in market research and analysis of environmental and economic trends on a regional and global basis.

Pinizzotto has a degree in economics and a master’s in business administration. His strength and expertise in the metals industry will help bring new perspectives to the global rubber industry.

With his many years in leadership positions, Pinizzotto will have the opportunity to relate and transform both the natural rubber growing industry as well as the synthetic rubber industry.
