Nexen Tire has announced the appointment of Brian YoonSeok Han as CEO of its USA operation. The company says that Han will lead Nexen Tire America from its US headquarters in Diamond Bar, California, and he assumes the role immediately.

Han takes over from the retiring Jong-Sun Kim, who served in the position from 2018 to 2020. The company says he will be responsible for overseeing its strategic direction and operations in the USA and Canada, while providing support to the company’s HQ in Seoul regarding North American original equipment sales and the company’s US-based technical center in Richfield, Ohio.

Han is a tire industry veteran of over 25 years, including 15 years with Nexen Tire. Prior to accepting his new role, he was Nexen’s global marketing vice president, before which he spent six years as the president of Nexen Tire Italia. He began his career in the tire industry in 1994 with Kumho Tire Korea.

Commenting on his appointment, Han said, “On behalf of Nexen Tire America, I would like to thank Mr Kim for his leadership and dedication to the company while serving as CEO and throughout his career with Nexen Tire. We wish him and his family all the best as he begins the next chapter of his life.

“It is an honor to follow in his footsteps, and I am very excited to build upon the company’s successes in the United States, while continuing to elevate the Nexen Tire brand to new heights across all of our industry verticals.”
