The latest V12 high performance electrified vehicle from Lamborghini, the Revuelto, features bespoke Potenza Sport high-performance tires by Bridgestone. The custom tires are available in 20in-22in diameters and have been designed to increase the vehicle’s high-performance capabilities.
To ensure the tires were capable of handling power delivered by three electric motors on the front axle and a V12 engine at the rear, Bridgestone designed and developed the custom Potenza Sport tires using Bridgestone’s Virtual Tyre Development technology at its European research and development center. This enabled engineers to create and test digital versions of the tire in a virtual world before building physical prototypes, resulting in raw material savings and reduced CO2 emissions during the development process.
The design and materials used have resulted in a tire that delivers excellent performance at high speeds, precise steering response and a high level of grip on dry and wet surfaces.
The bespoke Potenza Sport tires for the Revuelto are available in a 265/35 ZRF20 on the front and 345/30 ZRF21 on the rear, as well as a 265/30 ZRF21 on the front and a 355/25 ZRF22 on the rear. All are available with Bridgestone’s Run-Flat Technology. A performance setup has also been devised for the vehicle, with a 265/35 ZR20 for the front and a 345/30 ZR21 Potenza Sport for the rear. A bespoke Blizzak LM005 winter tire from Bridgestone can also be selected as an option for winter use.
