Bead-to-bead truck tire retreading robotic building island

LinkedIn +

Designed and developed exclusively by TRM for Marangoni’s Rovereto, Italy tire retreading plant, this production line manages the bead-to-bead hot-cure building process, fully automatically and flexibly. The system featuring four extruders and an industrial robot applies the cushion gum and the tread compounds using spindles, controlling the amount of rubber placed on each tire by measuring the weight and the movements performed by the robot. This technology is said to offer improvements in the final product, both in terms of quality and performance, making the retreaded tires comparable to premium new tires.
