Michelin introduces tubeless radial truck tire range in India

Michelin has launched its X Multi range of tubeless radial tires, which are specially engineered for commercial vehicles in India.

The X Multi Z (steer axle) and the X Multi D (drive axle) tires are said to offer Indian fleet owners versatility on Indian road conditions, safety and improved operating economy.

A new compound slows the tread wear rate to provide better longevity, while a wider tread and casing design provide maximum contact with the road surface for higher levels of grip on wet and dry roads. The special rubber compound incorporated into the crown design reduces tire damage, therefore enabling the tire to be retreaded. A reinforced bead design features more metallic wire for higher strength and endurance and new double sector mold technology helps to provide even wear and tear and better handling during high speed driving.

“We are witnessing a positive momentum of new technology adoption in the Indian commercial vehicle segment and we believe that it is the right time to launch the tubeless tires,” said Mohan Kumar, commercial director, Michelin India.

“Our latest tubeless Michelin X Multi range has been specially designed and engineered, keeping in mind the tough road and weather conditions of India, to offer a better and safer driving experience, coupled with greatly increased cost efficiencies to businesses that transport goods across the country.”
