LinkedIn +

Toyo is to expand its research and development capabilities at the Toyo Tire North America manufacturing (TNA) facility in Georgia, USA. The upgrades are scheduled for completion during 2017 and will build on the product development capabilities and the resources and personnel.

The plan is to increase the number of staff by 1.5 with new experts at each development stage, from product planning to design, through to commercialization. New equipment will also be installed for measurement of static and dynamic properties and to accelerate product evaluation and feedback.

Also, to further bolster its business in North America, Toyo has created a business development division for the region at its Osaka, Japan, headquarters.
