Dunlop’s next-generation soft-mid motocross tire, the Geomax MX34, has been selected by Stark Future as a standard original equipment (OE) fitment for its all-electric Varg MX, in sizes 80/100-21 (front) and 110/90-19 (rear).
The Stark Varg MX, launched in 2022, features a gearless, all-electric powertrain. Delivering 80bhp at the rear wheel and powered by a 6.5kWh battery, it offers range and performance on a par with traditional 450cc bikes, significantly reduced running costs and near-silent operation. For 2025, the bike will have a series of refinements, including the factory fitment of Dunlop’s latest motocross tire.
The Dunlop Geomax MX34 is designed to perform across soft, mud and intermediate terrain and sits in Dunlop’s motocross range between the sand and mud-oriented Geomax MX14 and the intermediate to hardpack-focused Geomax MX53. The combination of Dunlop’s Geomax technology and the Varg MX’s immediate torque delivery will deliver “a responsive off-road experience and allow riders to unlock the bike’s full potential on track”, the tire maker said.
Dunlop Geomax MX34 delivers improved cornering performance and front and rear slide control versus its predecessor, the Geomax MX33, providing straight-line stability and corner control. The tire also features Dunlop’s progressive cornering block technology, designed to absorb and improve ground contact for optimal traction and performance.
Miguel Morais, original equipment manager, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe, said, “We are proud to see Dunlop Geomax MX34 chosen as the standard tire fitment for the Stark Varg MX. This new partnership with Stark Future reflects our brands’ shared commitment to both performance and innovation in the motocross world. Pairing the Varg MX with Dunlop’s flagship soft-mid motocross tire offers riders a package that will deliver performance, stability and confidence across a range of conditions, empowering them to give their all on the track.”
Anton Wass, founder and CEO, Stark Future, said, “At Stark, we aim to deliver the best value possible for our customers from day one. Our customer feedback makes our priorities clear and the Dunlop Geomax MX34 is a clear winner in those surveys. Choosing Dunlop as an option for a first-fit partner was therefore a natural decision, one that underlines our commitment to equipping every Stark rider with the best tailored bike possible for their needs.”
