Polestar has chosen Continental’s SportContact 7 to be factory-fitted on its Polestar 3 model. The tire prioritizes energy efficiency and quiet rolling noise, and reportedly offers high driving stability and excellent grip.
The SportContact 7 is approved for speeds up to 270km/h and features the XL marking for increased load capacity. Continental says that the tire has impressive responsive handling, short braking distances on wet surfaces and high levels of grip during cornering. On wet roads, it achieves an 8% shorter braking distance than its predecessor model. On dry roads, the braking distance is reduced by 6% and the mileage increased by 17%.
The SportContact 7 is a high-performance tire for high-powered sporty vehicles with electric or conventional drives. Its development focused on combining ultimate driving enjoyment with maximum safety.
This tire line has been approved in the SportContact 7 POL, 265/45 R21 108W XL FR ContiSilent, and the SportContact 7 POL, 295/40 R21 111W XL FR sizes for the Polestar 3 in several countries.
