Firestone, a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas (Bridgestone), has debuted its latest touring tire, the Firestone Affinity AS, designed for mainstream cars. The tire is built to last. It features a tread compound that is engineered to defend against uneven and premature wear, and aims to be a reliable and capable solution, giving drivers confidence and peace of mind.
The Affinity AS is designed with a tread compound intended to limit road noise and vibration and provide a quiet, comfortable ride. Its tread pattern features diagonal and lateral sipes that are designed to improve wet-weather traction and handling. Grooves in the tread pattern have been added to reduce noise and harshness while enhancing drivability.
“Our new touring offering, the Affinity AS tire, is designed to deliver confident handling, a quiet ride and long wear life for mainstream sedans,” said Brad Robison, director of consumer product strategy at Bridgestone Americas. “With impressive wet-weather grip and longevity, the Affinity AS tire is built for the drivers who appreciate strong performance and good value.”
The Affinity AS expands the Firestone portfolio, offering an additional option to drivers who want a dependable all-season performance without winter-specific certification. It is positioned between the entry-level Firestone All Season and the Firestone WeatherGrip.
The new tire is engineered for mainstream cars with 15-19in rim diameters. Nine fitments are available at launch. A total of 28 fitments will be offered, with a staggered release throughout 2025.
