The AllSeasonContact all-season tire and the EcoContact 6 summer tire from Continental will be used as the original equipment for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ VW Caddy ex works.

Each tire has been optimized to improve rolling resistance and both have received an A rating on the EU tire label for high energy efficiency. Continental states it is one of the first tire manufacturers to have developed an all-season tire with this rating. Furthermore, the manufacturer’s AllSeasonContact tire provides optimized grip and a high level of safety in summer and winter conditions by combining elements of other Continental summer and winter tires.

The EcoContact 6 will also be supplied by the tire maker and benefits from a high energy efficiency, a high mileage over its service life, alongside renowned braking performance and good handling attributes. Additionally, the tire provides reliable grip in both dry and wet scenarios, and cornering stability at low and high speeds. Continental also used its latest compound technologies to ensure the tire has excellent deformation behavior.

For colder climates, the WinterContact TS 870 can be supplied by tire dealers and delivers good handling characteristics, short braking distances, steering precision and good safety reserves.

The AllSeasonContact has been factory approved for application to the Caddy in sizes 205/60 R16 96H XL and 215/55 R17 98H XL, and the EcoContact 6 in a size 215/55 R17 98H XL.
