Dealer and farmer insight was integral to the design of Titan’s new ITP CrossTrax tire, which has been engineered to improve UTV performance in demanding farm applications.
In early 2025, dealers shared recurring concerns around durability and downtime during Titan’s University Summit. Farmers reinforced those challenges during farm show conversations, emphasizing the need for a UTV tire designed specifically for farm use rather than recreational riding.
“Hearing this input directly from dealers and farmers was really eye opening,” said Todd Hinson, powersports product manager for the Titan Specialty Division. “CrossTrax is the result of taking those conversations seriously and acting on them. We built a tire around what is actually needed for farm work today.”

The realities of farm UTV use
As UTVs become increasingly essential tools on farms, their role has expanded beyond basic transport. UTVs are routinely used to haul feed, fencing, spray equipment and supplies across fields, gravel lanes and hard-packed access roads.
Dealers and farmers reported frequent flats caused by crop stubble and debris, along with accelerated wear from constant mixed-terrain use, signaling the need for a more durable, farm-focused solution.
CrossTrax was engineered in direct response to those demands, aligning product development with real-world agricultural use. Early evaluations have reinforced those design priorities, with initial feedback highlighting improved durability and ride stability in farm applications.
CrossTrax is designed to reduce punctures, improve ride stability and extend tire life, increasing operator confidence and minimizing downtime.
Key design features include enhanced puncture resistance – an aramid-reinforced ply layer helps protect against punctures and tears from crop stubble, rocks and field debris, reducing flats in demanding farm applications. In addition, the tire has been designed to provide improved stability across mixed terrain – a low void-to-tread ratio promotes more consistent ground contact, supporting confident handling on fields, gravel and hard-packed farm roads. Furthermore, the CrossTrax has been specified with extended tread life and ride comfort – large tread blocks encourage more uniform wear and smoother ride quality, helping extend service life and reduce replacement frequency.
These elements deliver dependable performance across fields, pastures, gravel and hard-packed farm roads, helping reduce replacement frequency and operational disruptions.
“CrossTrax reflects who Titan is, a tire manufacturer with boots on the ground, staying close to our dealers and customers,” said Hinson. “We spend a lot of time understanding how equipment is actually being used on farms and building solutions around those needs. That approach has always shaped how we innovate, and it will continue guiding us moving forward.”
The ITP CrossTrax tire line is available in nine sizes ranging from 25x8R-12 to 30x10R-14, with three additional sizes coming soon, covering key fitments across popular farm UTV platforms such as Polaris Ranger, Kawasaki Mule and John Deere Gator models.
