Enso, a tire company dedicated exclusively to electric vehicles, has launched a new line of ultra-high-performance (UHP) tires, Enso Premium tires, for electric passenger vehicles. The tires are designed for UHP EVs like the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.
Enso Premium has been developed in response to growing consumer demand for EV-specific tire solutions. The tires are now available in the UK and are A/A EU labeled, with the highest rating for energy efficiency and wet grip performance. They have been designed to help EV drivers go further on a single charge, reduce rolling resistance, extend range, and wear more slowly than conventional tires. This will save on energy consumption, tire purchases, CO2 emissions and tire pollution, lowering the total cost of ownership (TCO) over time.
Gunnlaugur Erlendsson, co-founder and CEO at Enso, said, “Enso’s mission has always been to accelerate EV adoption by making tires that enhance rather than compromise electric performance. With the Enso Premium range now joining the Enso Pro range for commercial fleets, we’re plugging a long-standing gap in the tire market by offering EV drivers a purpose-built, affordable, premium EV tire alternative that matches the innovation of their EV.
“We engineered Enso Premium for the specific needs of EVs, from instant torque to regenerative braking,” continued Erlendsson. “We’re delivering a tire that not only performs well but also helps EV drivers get more miles from every charge.”
In related news, Giti Tire recently launched the GSR237 Evo and the GDR675 Evo, the first in a series of new truck and bus tires to carry the ‘Evo’ name – which signifies energy saving solutions through vastly improved rolling resistance coefficients (RRC). Click here to read the full story.
