Pirelli updates Scorpion Enduro and e-MTB range

The tire maker has sought to refresh its bicycle range, focusing on enduro bikes with longer excursions as well as on e-MTBs.

The Scorpion Enduro and Scorpion e-MTB lines currently include three different treads: S (soft terrain), R (rear specific) and M (mixed terrain).

The M tread has been completely revamped, and now features a new knobs layout and new, aggressive profile. The revamped Scorpion Enduro M and Scorpion e-MTB M are designed to be true all-rounders, aimed at those who use MTBs for long mountain rides as well as the occasional race.

Both new M designs also benefit from Pirelli’s new SmartGrip Gravity compound, developed using Pirelli’s motorsport experience in motocross and rally competitions. In the new mix of materials, chemical grip, smoothness and tear resistance remain high but the static stiffness value has been lowered, increasing the tire’s ability to conform to the terrain, reduce vibrations and increase grip and driving comfort in more extreme situations.

The MTB line also sees an update in casing combinations on existing models and compounds. The Scorpion Enduro range is available not only in the HardWall version, but also in the lighter and more rideable ProWall.

The new tires will launch from the end of July 2022.
