Maxam Tire has expanded its forestry tire portfolio with the MS934 series for forwarders and skidders, and the MS936 TimberXtra for skidders and feller bunchers.
The MS936 TimberXtra has been designed for muddy terrain and features an aggressive LS2 tread pattern delivering strong traction and flotation, and a reinforced construction and optimized tread profile that supports stability and durability in demanding conditions. The lug design and crown profile have also been optimized to deliver extended wear on skidders.
The MS936 will be available in 35.5L32 30PR, 67/34.00X25 20PR and 67/34.00X26 20PR sizes.
The MS934 is an LS2 cut-to-length logging tire with an open-center tread pattern designed for use with forestry over-the-tire track systems. It features a nylon-wrapped bead to prevent unwinding, while a wider lug shoulder and increased shoulder spacing are designed to provide a more stable footprint.
“Forestry operations can vary significantly by terrain and working conditions, which makes having the right tire for the application critical,” said Matt Fagan, director of R&D at Maxam Tire. “Each of the new Maxam forestry tires provide logging operations a unique solution for different terrains and applications.”
