Hankook has expanded its Laufenn brand of tires into the UK, with the launch of a range of truck and bus products aimed at small fleet operators.

The company says it will initially offer nine models, covering the main range of tire sizes for both freight and commercial passenger vehicles, as well as tires for construction traffic. It notes that the initial line-up has been developed to meet more than 85% of the total market needs, with most of the sizes also offering 3PMSF labeling.

“Our new truck and bus radial tires will offer the UK market a valuable addition to Hankook’s overall product portfolio,” says Chang-Yool Han, managing director of Hankook Tyre UK. “The launch will help us to demonstrate to our customers that Hankook is a premium tire maker, able to offer a full and comprehensive product range, and therefore strengthen our position as a tire solution provider.”

The company says its first products on offer will be for regional haul use, last-mile delivery, public transportation and construction traffic. With an eye on cost-effectiveness, the company has ensured that all patterns can be regrooved and retreaded, and have a deep original tread to deliver a good first life mileage performance.

The range will include five tread designs for regional haul, three for construction and material handling traffic, and one for urban and commuting bus services.
