Goodyear has launched the Assurance MaxGuard (AMG) SUV tire in India. The tire is the latest addition to the Assurance family and has been designed to meet the demands of India’s rapidly expanding SUV market – it offers extended mileage, grip performance, strong durability, ride comfort and improved fuel efficiency.
“With rising incomes and a growing preference for family-oriented SUVs, Indian consumers are looking for tires that offer both performance and safety,” said Arvind Bhandari, managing director of Goodyear India. “Goodyear AMG SUV tire matches these expectations well, while bringing more driving confidence to Indian families.”
DuraMile technology
The tire features the latest DuraMile compound with an optimized cavity and tread depth distribution. The design improves rubber wear balance and expands the tire’s contact footprint, delivering up to 13% longer mileage compared with one of its leading competitors. In addition, the optimized compound formulation helps reduce rolling resistance, contributing to up to 2% better fuel efficiency under comparable conditions.
ActiveGrip technology
The design aims to help increase friction and the optimized cavity shape increases the contact patch. Both features contribute to better performance on wet roads with shorter braking distances. The next generation of full silica tread compound blended with silica adjusts to the road surface with more micro contact, achieving a strong grip on the road, especially in wet conditions.
DuraGuard technology
The tire also features a reinforced two-ply construction and strong steel belt package to handle the load demands of modern SUVs while resisting cuts and road damage.
The tire is available in 10 sizes from 15in to 17in.
