Dunlop has introduced the Blue Response TG, a new summer tire for passenger cars and SUVs and its first new product since the brand was acquired by Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI) in 2025.
The Blue Response TG has been designed for vehicles with internal combustion engines as well as hybrid and fully electric powertrains. Dunlop plans to offer the tire in 99 sizes, ranging from 15in to 21in, with 40-65 series profiles and H, V and W speed ratings, covering a broad spectrum of passenger vehicles and SUVs.
Comfort and control
The Blue Response TG’s broad capabilities are supported by a range of new technologies designed to deliver stability and control on both wet and dry roads. Strong braking performance enhances safety and driver confidence. The TG designation, short for touring, reflects the tire’s focus on long-distance comfort and efficiency.
Wet weather performance
The tire features a three‑zone rib design designed to efficiently channel water away from the contact patch to ensure stability at speed and unlock wet‑weather grip during direction changes. A refined shoulder design, with lateral grooves set at optimized angles, enhances tread rigidity to reduce block deformation under load and ensures consistent force transfer in corners and under braking.
Technology
A new tread compound features longer, more resilient polymer chains that improve resistance to abrasion and slow wear, helping extend tire life without compromising performance.
Further innovations include a noise-reducing tread pattern that links the lateral grooves into continuous channels. This design smooths airflow and dampens vibrations, contributing to a quieter cabin and a more composed ride consistent with Dunlop’s touring performance standards.
