Nokian Tyres’ Romanian factory
The factory in Romania was inaugurated in September 2024 and started tire deliveries in March 2025. It focuses on manufacturing passenger car tires sold in the European market. The millionth tire was the Snowproof 2 winter tire.
The company also launched two products for the European market in 2025: the Seasonproof 2 all-season tire and the Powerproof 2 summer tire. Nokian plans to continue introducing new tires for European drivers produced at its facility in Romania. When fully completed by the end of 2027, the factory will be the company’s largest production facility, accounting for approximately 40% of total capacity.
