3ČSAD, a Czech transportation company, has expressed its satisfaction with Maragoni’s retreading equipment. The company has a cold retreading shop in Havířov equipped with Marangoni machinery and works closely with tire dealers across the country.
Marangoni was one of the first companies to pioneer retreading technology using pre-cured tread strips, and has perfected this system through continuous R&D.
3ČSAD owns a fleet of 350 buses, of which 60% use methane gas, and 115 tankers, mainly Volvos, which are used for ADR transportation of liquids. All vehicles are serviced internally.
Lumír Komendir, manager at 3ČSAD, stresses the importance of safety, efficiency, a light tread, and excellent performance in different conditions when it comes to choosing the right tire model.
After a long period of time using Marangoni’s machinery and being ably supported by Marangoni’s technical team, 3ČSAD decided to expand its business with Marangoni and started to use the company’s pre-cured retreading materials. This lead them to use Marangoni’s PRL DA4S.
The pre-cured treads that had been previously used were too heavy for the 285/70 R19.5 size. That’s why Marangoni analyzed the tread patterns used. After testing the PRL DA4S, it found that, compared with others previously used, it offers more mileage while ensuring greater comfort for drivers and even tread wear.
Komendir said, “The PRL DA4S is the best solution for our gas-fueled SOR buses. All of our drivers have been very impressed since we switched to Marangoni. We were delighted to discover that Marangoni provides the best retreading solutions at all times that are adapted to the needs.”
