Hankook Tire is launching its new Laufenn brand, developed for the European market, at the 66th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, Germany, this week. This new tire line-up offers a wide range of products for a variety of conditions.

Hankook’s European Technical Centre in Hanover, Germany, helped significantly in the development of the new tires, which will be manufactured predominantly at the company’s production facility in Hungary.

Meanwhile, Hankook is also expanding its line-up of Ventus S1 evo² tires for the passenger car segment with specific high-performance yet very low rolling resistance versions in several sizes. The tire has also been selected in sizes 225/50 R17 at the front and 245/45 R17 at the rear axle as original equipment for the Mercedes-Benz C350e plug-in hybrid.

Other OE fitments announced at the IAA include the new generation of the Audi A4 and A4 Avant, which will be fitted with Ventus S1 evo²s, and the VW Touran, which will be supplied with Ventus Prime2 SealGuard tires in size 215/55 R17.
