Dacia has selected Continental as its original equipment (OE) supplier for the third-generation Dacia Duster. Three different tire types – the the EcoContact 6 Q summer tire, the AllSeasonContact all-season tire and the CrossContact RX tire – in 16in, 17in and 18in sizes have been approved.
Continental developed the CrossContact RX especially for heavy SUVs and crossover vehicles. Its sipe concept enables high ride comfort, traction and performance, especially on wet roads, the company says.
The EcoContact 6 Q is composed of an energy-efficient rubber compound, designed for hybrid vehicles in particular. Its low rolling resistance increases range without compromising on safety and comfort, Continental says, and its advanced compound reduces wear and thus increases overall driving performance.
The AllSeasonContact is suitable for year-round use and features a rolling-resistance-optimized tread that reduces fuel consumption and extends range. The tire has an “innovative mix of tread design, compound, tire contour and construction”, Continental says, that ensures a balanced profile of characteristics.
