Falken has engineered a custom version of its Azenis FK520 (NG0) tire for the latest Porsche Cayenne Electric.
The specially engineered OE Falken Azenis FK520 ultra-high-performance (UHP) tire bears the NG0 designation, reserved only for tires that have been developed, homologated and approved specifically to meet Porsche’s requirements. It will come factory-fit on the Cayenne Electric, with 255/55 R20 110Y XL tires on the front axle and 305/45 R20 116Y XL on the rear.
The FK520 (NG0) is available in combination with selected wheel designs offered through Porsche’s vehicle configurator.
Engineered for high performance
The staggered tire set-up supports the characteristic chassis tuning of the Porsche Cayenne Electric and is designed to deliver a balanced combination of agility, traction and driving stability.
The tire package features an optimized rubber compound designed to reduce rolling resistance, and is engineered to support precise steering response and stable high-speed performance. Carrying a Y speed rating, the tire has been approved for speeds of up to 300km/h.
The Falken Azenis FK520 (NG0) is designed to contribute to strong traction and efficient torque transfer, the tire maker said. In performance SUVs that combine substantial power with significant vehicle weight, the tailored tire architecture can help enhance overall performance and efficiency.
Christian Stolting, OE sales director at Dunlop Tyre Europe, said, “With the Azenis FK520 (NG0), Falken underlines its expertise in developing innovative tire technologies for the next generation of premium electric vehicles. This is the latest development in our long-term partnership with Porsche, and means we continue to strategically positioning ourselves as the first choice in the high-performance battery-electric SUV segment.”
