Bridgestone Americas has launched its Firestone FS592 steer tires designed for long-haul and regional trucking fleets. The set-it-and-forget-it workhorse tire has an additional 1/32in of tread depth and a wider footprint to deliver more miles than its predecessor while maintaining its durable tread pattern. Available in four sizes, the FS592 is EPA SmartWay certified and engineered with the company’s next-generation Enliten technology.
“Bridgestone’s next-generation Enliten technology unlocks greater levels of performance, along with an enhanced focus on sustainability, enabling us to make Firestone’s best tire even better,” said Steve Hoeft, president, commercial truck group, Bridgestone Americas. “With the new Firestone FS592, we’ve improved several aspects while staying true to the foundation of its predecessor, the FS591. The FS592 tire is a testament to Bridgestone’s commitment to developing innovative products and advancing mobility, even when it means reimagining a proven formula.”
Set to replace the FS591, the Firestone FS592 offers a 17% longer tread life that delivers, on average, 18,000 more miles than its predecessor. Built with Firestone’s next-generation Enliten technology, the FS592 features a more durable casing designed to improve rolling resistance and enhance retreadability. Its design includes defense grooves and an optimized shoulder rib to promote even wear and resist tearing. Additionally, the tire’s five-rib tread pattern provides consistent, long-lasting performance across a variety of applications.
