Bridgestone has opened a new radial tire factory for construction and mining vehicles in Thailand. This facility is the first of its kind in an Asian country other than Japan. It is located in Amata City Industrial Estate (Rayong Province) and spans an area of 9,300,000ft2.

“We will strive to contribute to Thailand and local communities by developing high-quality and high-value-add tires for our customers based on Bridgestone Group’s mission ‘serving society with superior quality’,” said Masahiro Higashi, senior vice president and executive officer of Bridgestone Corporation.

With a production capacity of approximately 35 tons per day, Bridgestone aims to establish a more flexible production and supply system that will enable it to adapt and evolve with demands.

The facility was inaugurated in October 2019 with an opening ceremony attended by Bridgestone’s executives, as well as dignitaries from Thailand and Japan.
