For the department Plant Technology section Agricultural tyres we are looking for a talented Tyre Engineer New Product Introduction.

About the team
The Plant Technology team is responsible for the introduction in the plant of high-tech new products which are being developed in collaboration with the department Research and Development. The main role for the Plant Technology team is to ensure that these new developments can be produced on current òr new to be purchased production equipment and according to the yield and capacity requirements of the Apollo plant Enschede.
Another important role of the team is to ensure swift solutions for (re-)occurring production problems. Tyre Engineers of the Plant Technology team are valuable members and leaders of cross functional, cross departmental project teams, setup to tackle these challenges.

About the job
As a Tyre Engineer you are responsible for the introduction of new products and the improvement of existing products to ensure constant or constantly improving product performance and production processes.
Continuous improvement projects (as project leader), complexity and cost reduction programs and maintaining of quality documents are other important tasks of the Tyre Engineer New Product Introduction Agri.
The Tyre Engineer Agri is the core of activities between R&D Europe, R&D Asia and other production locations (Hungary, India). With your knowledge of the products and production processes you will be actively introducing and pursuing new ideas for more effective and more efficient processes, often by using deep data collection and analysis for which you can use existing applications or develop new tools (AI, machine learning).

About you
– You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Automotive engineering or similar
– You are a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude and a ‘win-win’ focus and in constructive cooperation with all stakeholders for the benefit of the greater good
– You are analytical, creative and take responsibility to find solutions
– You have a product-oriented mindset and have a hands-on mentality
– You are self-aware, self-steering, can reflect on situations and you can bring out the best in yourself as in others
– You have knowledge of Six Sigma, ISO/TS systems, MS Office and preferably of data analysis tools
– You speak English and Dutch or are willing to learn.
