Mars Mineral, a producer of agitation pelletizing equipment and systems, is now providing solutions to companies that transform scrap tires into high quality carbon black feedstock powder through pyrolysis. Mars Mineral pelletizing equipment converts recovered carbon black powder into pellets to facilitate handling and transport.

“As thermal depolymerization technology continues to advance, demand for products containing recycled carbon black powder should increase,” explained Clayton Woodward, president, Mars Mineral. “Our pelletizing systems are an enabling technology that can be useful in preparing a carbon black feedstock for manufacturing products that require a moderate or low degree of structural integrity.”

Mars Mineral’s pelletizing systems are helping recovered carbon black manufacturers to recycle some of the one billion tires worldwide that are scrapped each year. The systems incorporate a powder feeder, pin mixer, binder feed system, dryer, screener and bagger.
